EMR Electronic Prescribing Offers Full SureScripts-RxHub Functionality

Be sure to let potential and current customers know that Practice Partner® has met all the SureScripts-RxHub requirements for technical certification and is a SureScripts-RxHub certified solution. This means that the electronic prescribing module built in to Practice Partner Patient Records electronic medical records, can communicate directly with pharmacy benefit managers and benefit plans through the RxHub and also meets all of the SureScripts categories of functionality including:

  • Electronic Prescribing
  • Refills
  • Rx History
  • Eligibility and Formulary (access to patient’s formulary and pharmacy benefits)

Beyond the technical certification, SureScripts-RxHub offers GoldRxTM certification which recognizes customer education, number of providers enrolled and number of new client installations with pharmacy connections, as examples. Five vendors, Allscripts®, eClinicalWorks®, Dr. FirstTM, NextGen®, and RxNTTM, have advanced certification. In general, this certification level recognizes the number of customers using electronic prescribing. It does not reflect the technical requirements that most directly impact the capabilities of the software to deliver a robust electronic prescribing tool for providers.
